Personality
Salimity is a brutal human being, due in part to her ruthless upbringing. She does not tolerate personal weakness, but since being deposited on Planet has learned to accept weakness in others. She still favors physical prowess and endurance as an attribute in herself and others, though has since recognized there is more to strength than being able to muscle through pain and win your fights. Salimity values independence, her headstrong personality domineering past any obstacle that tries to impose itself on her life. At least, any obstacle she happens to disagree with. For the more 'agreeable' obstacles, such as those that take the form of shinies or fiends, Sal is inclined to listen or follow orders without much question. For the sake of descriptive language, think of Salimity as a near impenetrable shield, using her strength as a means of remaining valuable to those she holds dear.
Most of the reason why Sal is the way she is has much to do with how she was raised. There was no sense of formal education in her childhood, so while Sal knows how to fight on her own and how best to skin an animal, the only written words Sal can recognize is her own name. As far as common sociability is concerned, Salimity is more apt to punch you in the face when she's upset with something you've said than ignore it or quip back like another person might. That's if she even manages to catch the sly nuances of conversation and they don't just fly right over her head. So it should come to no one's surprise that many social cues are overlooked by the Mandalorian. Why do women have to powder their noses and ruse their cheeks in order to be pretty? Why shouldn't she use unconscious people as battering rams through a crowd, or slap a hysterical man going through post-traumatic stress? Why can she tell people she dislikes to kriff off rather than suffer through polite conversation with them? In that sense, Salimity is somewhat free to do what we all wish we could do, but that's only due to sheer ignorance on her part. Ignorance with a whole side entrée of dumb bravery to go with it.
Salimity is still childish in many ways. She delights in her freedom to do as she pleases, but is quick to tantrum when denied that freedom. The fuse to her frustration and anger is quick to light and even quicker to burn out. She does not own a 'warrior's patience', and instead has a fondness for using her anger to fuel her through fights. Kind of like those red-bladed force wielders and magicians of her universe, if you catch the reference. She is also childishly envious, of those that can make friends easily with all their social graces and of those who are friendly with her clan family without first being friends with her. So while her strength may belong to the Onixus clan, there is still a lot she considers due to her or just outright hers, from respect to love. She expect either without question, as she provides it to those under her care without any reservation.
Tried and true, Salimity is a soldier, a simple enlisted grunt, preferring to fall in line than stand apart as a leader. She has come to enjoy peace, order, and a predictable lifestyle. This is especially apparent in how Sal handles the chaotic nature of Isnit; there's definitely some resentment when she speaks about the PIF's involvement in her life, outside of the initial 'saving' it did for her. She has managed to carve out her niche in Isnit, all the same.
Before the Ijat incident, Sal managed to maintain physical peak of health by sticking to a scheduled regiment of running in the morning, shopping and taking care of business during the day, making a large dinner for everyone in the evening, then finishing off the day with a clan meeting and some muscle training before settling in for bed. However, after the Ijat incident, the Mandalorian has been far more reclusive. Those in town only see the shinies coming and going from the house up on the hill, and the Mandalorian hasn't actually been seen in quite some months though all of clan Onixus profess that she's alive and well…
Meanwhile, while we're speaking of health, Salimity suffers from a hormone deficiency of estrogen. This was not a major problem back in her universe since she could take the proper supplements and be treated for it. On Planet, however, and since Salimity herself is ignorant to her condition, she has symptoms. Lack of fitful sleep, mood swings, depression, stunted growth, and pain are a few major concerns.

Appearance
There's a saying that goes 'blondes have more fun'. Well, Rod Stewart never met Salimity Onixus. With her facial features stuck on scowl, glare, and concentrated frown, it's hard to consider Sal ever could really have fun. Standing at 5'4" she can't even cash in on being 'fun-sized' when she's venting petty frustrations with a knife or her usual air of nonchalant flair of ignorance. Sal is quick to irritate, quick to cuss, quick to lift her lip with a growl.
So when she does smile, it's like the bloom of a Queen of the Night. Beautiful and bold, yet still somehow with the hint of menace, a barbing threat hidden beneath the familiar gesture toward openness. And that threat toward violence is hidden in plain sight, like the defenses of a cactus. Most of her scars of battle can be seen on her forearms, where burns from ozone and cuts from blades marred the flesh and healed over quick from applied bacta. On Planet, the bites from wyverns and slashes from panthera heal all the slower, forming white lines of puckered flesh that intersect each other, revealing a timeline of conflict that's all too plain to read. Some are more noticeable than others, like the three scars running down the left side of her face, starting up at her cheek bone and then dragging down into the side of her throat where the longest stops just at the collar bone. The most impressive scar descends to her lower abdomen and arches to her lower spine. It's almost rope-like in appearance, with its diameter close to an inch. Salimity dislikes dressing up. Whether this is due to all the stares she would receive or not hasn't been fully confirmed within her clan. There have been certain formal affairs where Sal shows up in a suit rather than a gown, though most days Salimity wears cargopants or loose-cut pants with long sleeved dress shirts. Her choices for appearance always err on the side of practicality, with her golden hair swept back completely from her face in a small pony tail, or cut back to resemble a men's haircut. In general, Salimity does have the potential to be pretty, though there is nothing very strikingly beautiful about her. Her eyes are a lighter green, even considered blue in some lights, but she never wears liner or powders to emphasize this, unless otherwise strong-armed into it. Her features aren't even bold, with her cheek bones too rounded, chin short with a slight under bite, and nose buttoned at the tip to give her a mousy, pinched expression. But weighing in at a stocky 145 lbs. she packs a wallop of a punch that few are likely to want to encounter again. |

History
Salimity was raised on the planet Mandalore by her adopted father Rylan Onixus alongside his biological son Levett Onixus who was several years older than Sal. Salimity never knew her biological parents, though Levett told her she had been taken from Dathomir* during a raid Rylan had been a part of. She had been found in the ashes and embers in what had once been her home, so it was always assumed her parents died in a fire set by the raiders. She was under a basic year old, so Rylan brought her to his small outpost home on Mandalore where his wife Tyvak raised Sal until her death just a few years later.
Tyvak's death made Rylan a hard man, something bitter with a grudge against the universe. He channeled all of his grief into making Salimity stronger. Only, he didn't so much as train her as he did abuse her for eleven years. At five, Sal could take orders and commands without hesitation. She did not fidget like most toddlers. She learned quickly not to speak unless spoken to. She learned to suffer through beatings, whippings, and ozone burns from stun bolts in silence. Otherwise, her yelps and cries would result in worse punishments. If she withstood the pain, her father would praise her for her endurance, and the approval of a man who beat her became something Salimity sought as a way to survive. When she could overcome the pain and near death experiences, her combat training began.
Salimity wasn't allowed to interact with the surrounding town or farms of Mandalore's community. Her brother was the go-between for contracts and their main source of income. He was usually off the ranch and only came home for weeks at a time. Most of Sal's abuse was either overlooked or missed by the older teen, though Sal still considered him her only ally growing up by the way he would sneak treats and tell her stories of raids along the Hydian Highway. And, eventually, Levett killed Rylan after a particularly savage beating left Sal with the scar on her lower abdomen. When Sal could not adapt to civilian life with Levett and his partner on Phindar, she was introduced to the world of mercenary business.
Then there came one simple job that ruined everything. The job's orders were clear. Stage an explosion outside an apartment on Phindar. The explosion had faults, however, and it appeared as if Sal had crossed several wires while laying the bomb which caused it to misfire. In investigating the bomb, without proper equipment on, Levett was caught in the delayed explosion while Sal watched in another building. The job was marked complete by a message sent to her datapad.
From that point she sold her beskar gam to a local pawn broker and hitched a ride on a freighter bound for Mandalore as a stowaway. While in the hold she was transported to another destination entirely: Isnit Weyrd on the planet named Planet. From her first meeting with the shinigami Zeph, Sal never allowed herself to grieve for killing her only connection with the outside world, and the only person she had ever grown close to. Instead, in Mandalorian fashion, Salimity moved ahead with the idea that Levett was only far away rather than gone. Still, even years later, it remains a sore spot of her psyche, though she has come to realize her clan accepts the murder as accidental.
Little did Salimity know that her nightly prayers weren't so wrong, at least, not in terms of physical distance. On the other side of Planet, in another town with shinies of their own, Levett Onixus, somewhat scorched and battered from the blast he believed sent him here, lived on till his death at the hand of a rather virulent serpen.
